The goal of Parent’s Day Out is to provide a caring, safe environment where children can learn about the world God has made. WEE curriculum is used along with an alphabet theme.

PDO follows the Norman Public Schools schedule. In the event that any of the above dates are changed, we will let you know as soon as possible. This applies to weather-related school closing as well. If NPS closes, PDO closes.
Directed and free play activities help the children learn about the world around them. Some of the daily activities include blocks, Bible stories, home-living, books, puzzles, art, snack, rest time, and play in the gym and on the playground.
Infants must be at least 6-months-old to be enrolled. Each class is led by two loving preschool teachers. The class enrollment is as follows: Pre-Toddlers: 6; Toddlers: 8; Ones: 12; Twos: 12; Threes/Fours: 12
Parents provide a sack lunch daily for the child, we ask that the meal doesn’t need to be reheated or refrigerated. Each day, a snack will be provided related to the letter or theme of the week. Example… Letter A – Apple

Kaleidoscope After-School program is focused on serving children kindergarten to fifth grade, families and the community in providing a Christ-centered and grace-oriented environment.
Kaleidoscope After-School program is a ministry of First Baptist Church and is a private non-profit organization. Kaleidoscope provides a safe, supervised, faith-based environment for school-age children after school. Kaleidoscope is licensed with the Department of Human Services and offers a variety of self-directed daily activities with an emphasis on physical activity, socialization with peers and self-expression through arts and crafts and daily activities. We accept Pre-K through 5th grade. Our hours are 2:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday during the school year. Kaleidoscope follows the Norman Public School calendar which is located at www.norman.K12.ok.us.

5 days a week - $200/month$50 Registration fee.
Payment for after school care will be due on the first of each month. Tuition paid between the second and fifth of the month will accuse $10/day late fee. A two week written notice is required for dropping from the ministry. There will be a $2 per minute late charge per child after 6pm. ALL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
Kaleidoscope availability is limited to 100 children in the program and van availability is limited to 78.
Required forms will include (but are not limited to): Enrollment form, updated Immunization records and a tuition payment contract. All parents MUST complete the required forms, pay the registration fee and the September tuition at time of enrollment to be guaranteed the child is enrolled in the Kaleidoscope program.
Van transport from selected schools will begin at 2:40 p.m. Van transportation is limited and if not available at your child's school they can be dropped off at Kaleidoscope at 3 p.m. Parents are required to call in each day BY NOON TO 360-5300 if their child is not attending. If a call is not received and a child is not picked-up the parent will be notified upon return of the school van by a Kaleidoscope employee.

After-school schedule (2:40 p.m. until 6 p.m. Monday -Friday.) Open only when Norman Public Schools are in session.
Gym, outside play, skating, bowling, freeplay, computer lab, arts & crafts, gameroom, movie day, homework. Homework and tutoring are offered every day except Friday which is movie day.
Children will not be released from the program, to a person other than the parent, unless they are authorized on the child information form. State issued identification will be required at the time of pick-up, as well as a call from parent.Child abuse will be reported to the proper authorities.Children’s personal belongings will be kept in the child’s backpack in the Homework Room.
If a child becomes ill or has an accident, Kaleidoscope will first try to contact the parents and if they cannot be reached we will call the emergency contacts. Kaleidoscope will not administer children’s medicines.
Positive Discipline Policy
Kaleidoscope has a Positive Discipline policy and it is available for review.
A nutritious snack will be provided daily for the children.

Drop Off will begin at 7:00 a.m. on the second floor hallway. Arrivals after 8:30 a.m. will need to be taken directly to their classrooms on the second floor — west wing.
Pick up is between 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Family Life Center or Room 212. Late fees will be charged for pick ups after 6:00 p.m.

1/3 tuition due by May 1
1/3 tuition due by June 1
1/3 tuition due by July 1
Late Fees of $10 per day late, suspension after the 5th.
If fees are not current or alternate payment schedule has not been agreed upon in writing by the patron and the Executive Director after May 5, June 5, and July 5, your child will be dropped from the program.
